There's nothing that taste better than a farm fresh egg! And what a sweetie your hubby is to help you! I love all of your pretty things in your kitchen. I don't collect chickens but it's hard for me to pass up a cute vintage chick!
What a wonderful post for chickens and eggs. Some great pics from times gone by. Hope you have a great week.
There is nothing nicer then a fresh egg for breakfast.
No Way - Ramona! I am from Ramona! My entire family lives there, except for my children. We moved to the desert because hubs got a job as a firefighter in the desert. Now, I am 1/2 way between Ramona and the desert! Oh, gosh - I would have loved to meet you in person when you were out this way. I also hope to have a chicken house soon! And, I think a cute sign would be wonderful, too!
I have a flock of six and love having fresh eggs to eat. Loved your chicken post. Do you live in Oregon? I know a little of the Willamette area. I used to live in Oregon. Hope you have a great week.
blessings,
Danielle

A wonderful post about among other things :chickens...Love the white one sweet Paula gave you, and the ones you found yourself...
We have had chickens on the farm, but after all the troubles with the Bird-flue where they were not allowed to get out in the fresh air, we stopped, and have not had any fresh eggs since! really a shame.
I wish you a lovely week dear Carolyn,
I love your green/black rooster ,too .

Oh my friend, you chick-a-dee header made me smile so very big! Love that cute pair! This is such a fun post. My sweet cousin gives me farm fresh eggs too. Sometimes I think I would love to have some girls of my own, but my yard really isn't too big. Not sure where I would put them. Love, love that red tractor! Yup, I can see why hubby doesn't mind doing dishes.
hugs,
Jann
I love fresh eggs too! My folks had a flock of Rhode Island reds that produced the best brown eggs when I was a teenager and they were so good! Blessings to you today dearest Carolynn!
Hi Carolynn! Such a sweet post and how I would love to have a farm fresh egg right now! They are truly the best!! Such fun photos, and I love the one of your pretty mom and cute sister!! Wishing you a beautiful week dear friend! xo Heather
I love chickens, Earl and I were just discussing getting chicks this spring. I can't wait, love the fresh eggs and listening to the little peeps and clucks as they grow:>)
I don't think I have left you a comment for awhile...shame on me! What a lovely colorful post! I felt like when I was a little girl and stayed with my bestie who lived on a farm. Everything to me was fresh and exciting...but to her it was old hat. I wanted to feed the chickens, watch the cows be milked, pick apples. Cathy just wanted to veg in her room and avoid any and all farm chores. I am sure that if it were my life I wouldn't be as keen...but a farm morning was sunny, with roosters crowing and pancakes on the old coal stove! Loved it!
I enjoyed your chicken post! I've wanted chickens for a while now. That's wonderful that you have friends that share their fresh eggs with you!
Thanksnformthe stroll down memory lane, eggg-actly what we need :-) suek
I never bought brown eggs until I moved to New Zealand where that's all you can get! Great photos.

Hi Carolynn
Lots of Easter chicken inspiration with your photos!
Farm fresh eggs are the best - not so easy to get in the city tho.

No chickens here, but my grandparents had over 200 on a farm in the early 1900s.
