Happy Birthday!

I am so thankful to have my Mother in my life! Our family spent a weekend at the beach on the Oregon Pacific Coast honoring Mom's special day. There were 51 of us who attended...the youngest was three weeks old!

My Mom has had such a godly influence in my life. She was dedicated to instilling the things of God in all her children's lives. I am so very grateful to have been blessed with my Mother's love for God!

Tea Party

Do you remember the quaint little tune......"Tea for Two.....and Two for Tea"?  This past weekend the Woman's Ministry where I worship hosted a Mother's Day Tea.  But, instead of having two for tea...we had over 50 lovely ladies attend!

Several talented ladies hosted individual tables. Each table was beautifully decorated according to each woman's taste. There were so many lovely arrangements and color schemes.

Many ladies brought teapots so that everyone's teacups were kept full to the brim with piping hot tea!

But, before you go......my sweet blogging friends!

Savory beef, olives on cream cheese topped crouettes...

Mom-Daughter Aprons

I had so much fun stitching up these Mother-Daughter aprons. I was able to donate them to the silent auction fundraiser at my church the day of our Mother's Day Tea.

Happy Mom's Day

      Wishing you all a wonderful "Momma's Day", my sweet friends!

I am so very grateful to have two Mother's in my life. My Mom is just a few days shy of 90 and such a blessing to me! My husband's Mom is the most precious Mom-in-Love to me! I don't take either of them for granted! I pray and thank God for them both daily!

***My favorite color...I love RED, RED, RED! It's such a cheery, bright color!

*** My favorite animal...Hand's down! I am a cat lover...My three kitties bring so much joy and comfort to my life...I can't imagine life without them!

***Favorite non-alcoholic beverage...Hazelnut Coffee...a cup a day, keeps the doctor away!

***Do I prefer Facebook or Twitter? I am a confirmed Flickr and blog fan...Not a minute extra for FB or Twitter!

***What is my passion? My first one is my love for God and living a life that honors Him. My second is my marriage to the sweetest man on earth. My third is my great big family...I am one of six children and am blessed with a huge extended family. Fourth is my love for nesting, home, sewing, creating and blessings others with the work of my hands.

***Do I prefer giving or receiving?..I love to give to others! It truly is a passion for me. I receive so much pleasure by sewing for my family and friends! I always want to be an encourager in everything I do.

For my wonderful friends who are popping in for the first time...
I have been blessed by the dearest young lady, Paula, of "Sweet Vintage Rose Cottage".

For the past few days, I have had the joy of sharing the darling gifts that she sent me for Mother's Day. Several of them are the work of her sweet hands.

I am still pinching myself to make sure that I'm not dreaming...

Oh, my goodness...Just look at these adorable treasures. Precious Paula of "Sweet Vintage Rose Cottage" knows how much I love the color Red!

I spent a lovely afternoon just ooing and ahhing as I opened each charming gift!

I adore this chubby little elephant perched high upon a bright red tomato...This is the cutest pincushion! I love it and will enjoy displaying it in my sewing room!

Loving Gifts

My darling adopted daughter, Paula, of  "Sweet Vintage Rose Cottage"  sent me the most wonderful Mother's Day parcel!

I am deeply humbled by her beautiful workmanship, affection and generosity! As I opened each sweet gift, my heart was warmed by her love and abiding friendship!

Isn't this the most adorable portrait of darling Paula! She artistically sketched and appliqued her lovely image onto this cute little quilt. Look at the petite beribboned polka dot yoyo.
I will treasure this always, my darling daughter!

What could be sweeter? Dear Paula created this adorable little kitten...Her stitching is so perfect! Oh, so adorable...and, how I love kitties with tiny red bow ties!


Just look at this plush little kitten!  Paula, lovingly, stitched each tiny detail. Her  handiwork is purrrrrfection!

I'm so happy to be able to share these priceless blessings with you!
