My dear Mother gave me this little dutch girl. Mom turned 90 this year. Her Father gave her this pretty porcelain figurine when she was a young girl back in the 1930s.

When Summer ended I removed all my red accent pieces and began adding orange touches for the Fall. I love changing seasons with a new "Tweak" of color. Easy Peasy!

My sister, Rebecca, gave me this tiny tureen several years ago. She knows how much I love blueware. Thank you, Becca!

A beribboned wreath rests on a drawer pull. I like the bright orange splash of Fall color and anything plaid!

Dear Carolynn,
a wonderful collection of blueware, and such a gorgeous pumpkin on top of the salt box.
I love the beautiful wool quilt from our dear Paula, she makes little wonders in handstitching with her hands.

Very nice November nest! Love the touches of orange, Jean
I'm loving your blues with touches of fall orange. The little figurine that is your Mom's is so precious. I also love that tureen from your Sis. What a nice surprise from Paula. I love your autumn touches-so cozy!
Love all your pretty things! And I love all your vignettes and how you display things for Autumn - very pretty. :-)
Hi Carolynn,

I so need you to visit my house! I get stuck in a season and have so much trouble keeping up with the shifts :) Adding in a color is a wonderful idea and something I need to remember to try! Beautifully decorated as always!
Just love your comfy November nest! So pretty!
Thanks for sharing your family treasures on Simple & Sweet Fridays. Love the stories!
Jody
Hello Carolynn,
I do love your style, my friend! Your photos are fabulous! I couldn't find your email so I decided to leave a comment here. I am featuring your grandma's button lampshade on this week's HOME party. I loved it! Just thought you would like to know. Enjoy your week!

Sandi
Great pops of orange! Happy Autumn!
Carolynn, what a sweet gift! Perfect little wool quilt for Fall. I love your collection of blueware. That little dutch girl is a precious gem. Love it all my friend! Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.

Hi Carolyn, I love your Fall touches of color to your pretty blue dishes. I love plaid, too! It creates such a homey feel.
I love your hutch with all the blue transferware and orange accents! Very pretty. Have a great week!
I've collected blue & white transferware for years and never have I seen it look so pretty! I love the way you've added orange accents among your fabulous collection. Great minds think alike, and you'll understand what I mean if you hop on over to my blog. I've got some distant cousins to your figurine!
Visiting from KOT.
You have some beauties in your china cabinet. Love how you added the autumn colors and pumpkins. The little quilt is so cute, too. Your daughter is talented!
Wonderful photos of a favorite color combo...blue and white. What can be better!
Ruth
A beautiful November Nest Carolynn!! Such a special touches that make your home so warm! I am so happy to hear about Paula! I have missed her, and will have to check out her new blog. Thanks for sharing such prettiness. Have a blessed week! xo Heather
Thank you so much for sharing all your fall touches! I love your blue and white dishes! God bless you richly today
So pretty ! :) I especially love the little dutch girl. When I was a young girl I played with a dutch boy and girl salt and pepper shaker set at my aunts. Whenever I am in an antique store I look around to see if I can find a set that is like them...so far none have matched my memory exactly but whenever I see these sort of figurines it takes me back...
I love all the blue with the pops of orange!
How sweet that you have the dutch girl that your mom had! I love the little tureen - I collect white ones :)
It's always a pleasure to see a home with some color. It all looks beautiful and cheery!
Where do I begin? So many pretties today. Love the quilt and the blueware. How long have you been collecting it? I have been wanting to start a red and white transferware collection forever. Seems so overwhelming when you don't have the first piece yet. Love how you paired the blue and the orange, and I absolutely love the Finland custom.
By the way, Numbers 6 is one of my favorite blessings...right back at you, my friend.
XOXO's,
Marcia
Good morning Carolynn,
What a charming home you have! I love your blueware and plaids, pumpkins, and vignettes. I have a wee wreath hanging on a drawer too. Little touches like that just makes one's home that much more charming. I appreciate you sharing scripture too. Thank you for linking up with me and coming to tea. Have a delightful day, my friend.
Blessings,
Sandi
I love the combination of orange and blue. Your hutch is so attractive. I would be drawn to it in a second after entering your home. I love all the personal touches. Very pretty post.
That little wool quilt is adorable! Wool is so comforting this time of year -- I can't get enough of it. Sally
Your blue transferware is beautiful. Your collection is vast and is displayed well. I also have a small set of blue and red. I am at the point of having to convert a closet to china storage. Thanks so much for stopping by, Olive
Your blue and white looks so pretty with the touches of fall. What a pretty display in your hutch.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You're gonna think I'm a copy cat--I just posted some of my blue and white dishes, too! BEFORE I read your post--honest! LOL I never tire of it. Your display is beautiful!
Hugs from the Farm,
Dru
Well, I guess it's unanimous! We all love blue and white transferware! This is my first Fall looking around bloggyland at home decorating/nesting/lifestyle-type blogs, so I'm seeing a lot of b/w constrasting with orange. I surprise myself that I never thought of it. I packed away my b/w, and plan to take it out again in January. But now, it seems so obvious that orange is the perfect Fall complement for b/w.
Of course, I also love the little gift quilt from Paula in the mail. Such a lovely gift, lucky you!
Your home just exudes coziness and your collections are so lovely. I wish I could see them close up.
What a wonderful gift she gave you! Homemade is always best. Love your colors!
Brenda
