to get in one last visit to my beloved Oregon Coast
before the Winter begins to set in.
I live on the east side of the Cascade Mountain Range
and when the snow starts to fly traveling to the coast on mountain roads is risky at best.

This darling bungalow is just a few blocks from the beach. I had the fun of touring it while I visited this past summer.
Just look at that cheeky little chicken...
And, oh, those polka dot mugs!

Thanks for sharing your vacation. Fabulous place to stay, lovely photos.
Carolun, those are fantastic pics. Everything looks like a pretty beach magazine. Love that little cottage kitchen! Glad you had a nice time.
Very cute and sweet cottage, love the red and polka dots,
so sad to leave,
There is just something about the roar of the sea..ahhhh..so glad you were able to get back one more time...suek
YES!! A blogger who loves color!!! ;) I found your page at Celestina's blog, Celestina Marie Designs. I simply couldn't resist when I saw your adorable button. Red is my favorite color too, followed by aqua, then yellow.
Love your photographs. They're so happy. Say sea and I'm there. Lived in So. Florida over 40 years and cannot imagine being apart from my ocean.
Looking forward to visiting.
Much love,
Marcia
I think your post actually made me feel and smell a bit of the ocean!
(Shiver...that cold spray hit me )
Carolynn, what a sweet bungalow! So nice that you shared all its goodness on your blog! I love all the little pretty details!
Blessings,
Susie
What an adorable cottage! I live in Idaho and try to get to the Oregon coast as often as possible. It is one of my very favorite spots. So indescribably beautiful, rugged and yet so peaceful. I could very easily live happily there every day of my life, but alas that just can't be for now. Thanks for giving me a glimpse of it's beauty. I

What an adorable cottage! So glad you got one more vacation in! I love the northwest coast, too. . .Wish I could be there right now!
Blessings from the Farmhouse. ..

Thank you for stopping by, Carolynn. Loved seeing you joining in with our Glitter and a Movie challenge. There are plenty of fall colors here so welcome, welcome, welcome.
Oh, and when I wrote LIVED earlier, I meant to say have lived.
XOXO's,
Marcia
What a delightful little cottage!
Looks like a lovely place to stay and enjoy beach life.

I am envious. What a nice and relaxing trip. I love the red white and blue too.
Hello Carolynn!
I've never been to the OR coast, but I have a feeling that I wouldn't want to return to MN! Someday I must get there. We have so many lakes here in MN that there are often seagulls flying around. Sometimes when I hear them I close my eyes and pretend for a moment that I live in a great little sea-side town!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us, I hope your trip was perfect in everyway!
Erica :)
Hi Carolyn. Love the charming photos of the beach cottage. I think it would be hard to leave it behind! Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my blog! I am now following your lovely blog. Oh, you had me as soon as I saw your red header!! Adorable blog and I feel like I'm in my backyard. Well, sort of anyway :) Love the cottage.
I love the way it is decorated! How cute! And welcome to the party! Happy Fall! Sweet hugs!

Hi Carolynn! What a beautiful place to spend time!! Love the little cottage! Wishing you a fabulous week! xo Heather
So glad that you found time for one more visit. Love that little bungalow by the sea! I have never been fortunate to live close to an ocean, but sure do love visiting them. Just wondering, how did you get that picture of me cycling? Don't recall mailing it to you. lol!
Hugs to my friend!
Jann
I love the Oregon coast too! I loved seeing all the pictures. It makes me want to go there but I will have to wait until Spring :)
I'm glad you had time for one last trip before the bad weather sets in and makes the mountain passes too treacherous to travel. The aqua blue and creamy white bedroom at the cottage was really pretty, and with such soothing colors and fresh air, I can see why you sleep well.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for the sweet comment!
Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw you on my sweet Marcia's blog. Like Marcia, I love color, and I notice you have my favorite color combination on here, RED, BLACK, AND WHITE! I am also a polka dot girl and love all the polka dots on here. Your blog is so cheerful to me. Me and my daughters also have a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is fun and creative, and I am leaving here with a smile. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

Thank you for letting us enjoy some of the good times with you. Enjoyed visiting and your blog.
I can only imagine that your heart must yearn for the beach the rest of the year, just like mine does for our little cottage on the lake! That bungalow is loaded with charm, and it looks just like I imagine one would look that is just a skip and a jump away from the sea!
Happy REDnesday,
Carol
I would love to tour the Bungalow by the Sea!
Beautiful cottage! Yes, the ocean does renew and invigorate!
What beautiful pictures! Makes me want to pack my bags and go there :) Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a sweet comment - I do appreciate it. I loved what your profile said about being a believer of Jesus your Savior - that was a blessing to read! Anyway, I am now following you and I look forward to your future posts :)
Hugs,
Stephanie

Hi Carolynn,
I am so happy you stopped by my blog and entered my Giveaway! I really like your blog. Love your header! I am a lover of toile, especially red and I like roosters too. Being an Islander, I am not far from the ocean at all, the Atlantic that is, and we spend as much time as possible at the beach in the summertime. It's lovely to 'meet' another sister in the Lord. I am a new follower of your blog. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week and I'll be back.
Blessings,
Sandi
What a darling cottage...inside and out! Who could resist the place. So glad you have these great memories to keep with you when the snow starts to fly. ; )

Hello Carolynn~ The seaside is relaxing and it's always a treat to spend a few days (and nights!) there. We live about a 30 minute drive to the beach so staying overnight is rare. However, when driving up the coast we often stay a night in Santa Barbara or Shell Beach. I adore the quiet when the fog rolls in. My husband and I like to walk in the sand after dark and gaze at the stars...so tranquil and romantic. The cottage you stayed in is just the cutest! What a treat. We've never been to the Oregon coast, but one of these days! Have a great weekend, my friend :)
hugs
Shawn
Oh, what a darling little beachy place! Wouldn't it be fun to stay there?
Thanks for popping in to see me.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
what a beautiful trip you had!
love jooles x
Looks like a lovely town. We're so lucky to live near the beach (me on the other side of the US)!
~Cindy
Beach communities always seem to have the most unique decorative items to bring a bit of whimsy into our lives. What a wonderful cottage by the sea with all of its easy-going spirit.
Debra
Hi Carolynn - its the seaside for me everytime. I have finally taken the decision to live there permanently despite it being logistically quite difficult (there is no nearby work for my husband and he will need to cummute alot). I always feel more healthy and alive when I am at the sea and the always changing landscape inspires and refreshes me on all levels. I am glad you managed to fit in one more trip before winter sets in. We have to leave the sea at the end of October as our caravan park closes for four months so we can't return until March but hopefully next year we will have a proper house. Lily. xxx
Through the power and goodness of bloggers, I have been to the beach twice this morning. I am a very lucky girl! xo
Hi Carolynn,
Your first pic caught me attention with its red, white and blue theme! I love these nautical colours, but I also tend to associate them with playfulness and coziness, which is why they are very present in our home in the countryside of Crete. Luckily, we have a beautiful view of the Mediterranean, and as you said, there's just something about being surrounded by sea and salt that is soothing. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos.
Have a great weekend.
Poppy
I bet you sleep well there with all that fresh sea air! It looks like a charming beachy place!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I've enjoyed perusing your blog -- it is always fun to read about the beach - a culture foreign to this mountain girl. Snow has started to fly on our mountain passes, also - it's a love/hate relationship. I hate to be stuck on this side of mountain, but it is so beautiful! Have a good weekend. Sally
Now you have me yearning for the sea!
I used to live in San Diego and I miss the opportunity to hang out at the beach and hear the sound of the ocean.
That cottage is absolutely charming.
Thanks so much for joining in this week!
xo
Claudia
I love the coast! Any coast!
I grew up 10 miles from the ocean in Massachusetts, and I can remember realizing when I was 16 that I could in fact, bicyle to the beach for the day! 20 miles round trip, envigorating swimming, and boy did I sleep well.
Now I live a mile from the ocean (less as the crow flies) in Maine, and I don't go there often (busy!), but I love the sound of the surf I sometimes hear, and the smell, and the rhythm of tides.
That cottage is darling! I wish I had the home decorating gift. A lot of it is editing, isn't it?
Was that a place you rented or is it yours? How absolutely delightful.
Oh yes, and my family is all about board games too. Of course, we spend a lot of time snow-bound and we know a million ways to combat cabin fever!
Hello new friend! What a charming blog you have!!! I saw your sweet comment! You know my beloved Big Bear?!!! We love it so much!! Only an hour from us. I am off to do a quilt run with my best pal today, but wanted to stop in and say hello, and thank you for stopping by. I can't wait to come back and really check out your lovely blog!!!!
xo Kris
I would just love to live in a sweet little cottage like that. Less housework and more time to play. I love your banner...by the way.
~Clara
Thanks for taking us along with you! I love the little cottage! Blessings, Tammy
This cottage is a beauty. I'd love to spend some time there. Wish you a good winter. ;-) Regula
Your favorite cottage is darling!! I too love the ocean!!

Thanks for taking us with you on that fantastic trip! What a precious cottage. Can't imagine what it's like staying right on the beach where you can hear the waves. Thanks for sharing.

Your cottage is so cute, and love the red/blue/white. I also love your blog header. I'd love to spend time by the sea, but really never see one. Thanks for stopping by and liking my Autumn Porch!
Such a lovely blog, Carolynn, I've so enjoyed visiting and seeing all your beautiful bright pictures. Your slip cover is wonderful too!! Thanks so much for visiting me and your kind comments. Have a lovely week!

Oh, I want to stay in that cottage. It is just so charming. I've never visited your blog, but I'm so happy to be here. Your blog header was enough to let me know that I was going to love visiting this blog. I'm off to do a little exploring at Chenille Cottage (love that blog name too). Thank you for your sweet comments at my blog. laurie
What a lovely cottage to vacation in! Great Pics & thanks for sharing!
Love & Blessings
Oh, my! Oh, my! oh, my! I just love that little cottage. My little beach cottage is done in primary colors. I would fit right in there. I first read about Neskowin in Coastal Living. My mother was born in Portland and her family had beach houses at Cannon Beach and Rockaway Beach. I love the Oregon coast.
