It's hard to believe summer is almost over. Temperatures have begun to drop. It has been in the 30s the past few nights. I actually threw another quilt on the bed this week.
I am so inspired by the many embroidered pretties that so many of you have been sharing on your lovely blogs.
My favorite quilt shop has so many wonderful ideas and patterns available. I thought you might enjoy some of the shop samples...and, who knows, you may be inspired, too!
How I love tea towels! Aren't these the sweetest?
I am so fond of the old fashioned edgings.
RICK RACK...
POM POMS...
LACE...
HAND CROCHET...
They add such lovely finishing touches!
I had fun making this little "Aunt Grace's" Sampler Doll Quilt.
Don't you love all the Bubble Gum Pink prints?

| Yes...More of my favorite "Aunt Grace's" prints. I made this chubby teddy bear using strips and a crazy quilting method. |
I thought I better hurry and post this beautiful summer quilt.
It is a sample that hangs at my favorite quilt shop

I love the soft colors in the Sew Summery quilt. I get so excited and inspired but then I don't know where to start. I DID start my day at the quilt shop though. They had a rummage sale and all of the quilters were at tables selling all kinds of goodies. I bought a few...will post them soon! Happy weekend!

Love, love, LOVE the birdhouse quilt and the log cabin! Fabulous, and now they are on my (long) list of quilts I would love to make some day too!
Oh my, in the 30s already?! It's too soon for that!
LOVE all of the quilted loveliness you've shown here, and especially that birdhouse quilt. Anything to do with birds and nature really speaks to me!

I came back to look at your tea towels and how you put the trim on the bottom! I have some red pom pom...I may try to add them to one! Hugs!
OH,what a talent! The birdcages are adorable!! I've never tried quilting, but I can see how much fun it is, you must have a great deal of patience! Great job!
Carol
I love the fabrics in Aunt Grace's Doll House Quilt. I have used several of them in quilts and my neighbor has a beautiful quilt someone made her with many of those fabrics. I didn't have time for quilting this summer, but making a quilt with all those fabrics is high on my list.
Thanks for the beautiful inspiration.
Dear Carolynn,
your little quilts are so adorable, I love the birdhouse one, and your Cloe, have spend happy ,cosy hours on its little bright quilt, sorry you lost her!
I made some few mini quilts ,many years ago, but after starting my shop selling dolls and ....here on my ground where we live- there are no more time for patchwork and quilting.
Thankyou for your sweet comment my friend.
Hugs,Dorthe
Carolynn, your birdhouse quilt is adorable. I have been collecting 30's reproduction fat quarters and watching for the perfect project. Looks like you have found quite a few projects to incorporate these charming prints.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Labor Day postcard page.
Debra
Carolynn, I love your birdhouse quilt! So sweet that you made one for a kitty. Aunt Gracies are my favorite fabrics. I have a quilt started, but alas; I can't seem to get back to it. I remember seeing that summer quilt when we were there. I loved it also. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
Hugs,
Jann
