Today was such a beautiful day...with blue skies and cool breezes!
I am going to visit my Mom for a few days and I wanted to bake something special for my hubby to eat while I'm away.

My husband's best complement to me is that when he comes in the house smells like his Grandma's kitchen! He likes to come home to windows steamed up with cooking and lovely baking aromas. Have a good trip. Lily. xxx
How thoughtful! Have a wonderful visit with your mom. I spent the whole day having the crockpot cook down a head of cabbage with kielbasa. Never made this before but my hubby loves it.
So I did it for him. And he loved his dinner. And I couldn't eat it, so I froze the rest for him in individual servings.
Now what to do with the rest of the cabbage in the garden...
Pumpkin bread does sound so delicious and We all know the way to a Mans heart ;) Love the little recipie for a good marriage.

I was just thinking of your sweet mom yesterday. How is she? Now this looks like a treat any husband would love. Took mine lunch at the office yesterday while I hit a couple of estate sales. Nothing better than dinner ready after a long day of work. I am an old soul...have a wonderful trip and safe travels...smiles...sweet friend...Renee

Mmm...your pumpkin bread looks so yummy! There is nothing like seeing the smile on the faces of those you love when they walk in and smell the fresh baked goods from the oven! Your 'marriage recipe' reminds me of a sweet Holly Hobby apron I have from the 70s (a gift from my hubby). Holly shares her 'Recipe for Love'. I've saved it all these years, and although quite worn, still very loved.
