Mom-Daughter Aprons

"Thou shalt sit on a cushion and sew a fine seam...And feed upon strawberries, sugar and cream."   Mary Engelbreit

I had so much fun stitching up these Mother-Daughter aprons. I was able to donate them to the silent auction fundraiser at my church the day of our Mother's Day Tea.

The finished aprons...for Momma and Daughter

I love adding Rick Rack. It adds such a touch of vintage sweetness!

Thank you, my dear friends, for popping in for a visit! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Blessings,
Carolynn   xoxo

Hi Carolynn - your aprons are really pretty; I am sure whoever bought them were delighted. I love aprons as they remind me of cosy childhood things; especially of my lovely Nanny. I have just managed to get a reproduction pattern for a late forties' full pinny. I have only just started gathering things to learn to sew and its going to be one of my first projects. The idea of 'Mother and Daughter' clothes is so lovely. My Mum used to make us matching clothes. Lily. xxx

You are an inspiration! Such a fun and colorful project. I cannot tell you how happy red makes me. It's the first color I look for when I enter an antique or thrift store...I lose interest if there is not enough red. I'm sure your aprons were a big hit! =D
