Sweet Dreams

Welcome to my Guest Room

I created my guestroom with my sweet Mom in mind. I wanted to provide the bedroom that my Mom never had as a child...having spent time in an orphanage. I designed it to be soft, feminine and cozy. I wanted it to be a place that when she came to visit would bring joy and peace to her. My Mom is turning 90 in just a few weeks...I am so thankful to still have her in my life! She is not only my Mom, but my wonderful friend!

"Now I lay me down to sleep...I pray, Thee Lord, my soul to keep.....

Thank you for the very sweet comment you left me. Of course I had to link over and see your blog with a name like Chenille Cottage, and here I am - your newest follower. I love your guest room and think it is so sweet that you did that for your mother. I also loved peeking into your delightful sewing room and seeing your lazy cat on the quilt and all of your posts. So nice to meet you!

Just popping over from Flickr to check out your blog, more pictures of your pretty, pretty room! I had a little trouble getting here, the link in your flickr profile isn't working, but I did find you and have added you to my google reader. I look forward to visiting you again. :)

What a wonderful post Mis Caroline. Mothers are a dear and wonderful thing. Enjoy each moment, I know you do. I do wish I could turn the clock back sometimes. Have a great time at the coast, take lots of photos to share with us. Give your Mom a Happy Birthday hug from me. Her room is beautiful even if the cats slip in once in a while, little stinkers.
May God Bless and keep you and yours.
Love
Marcie

I remember when you first posted your lovely guest room pictures to flickr, and I fell in love! Your mom must feel like a princess (queen?) whenever she visits...I know I would :) There is so much love in this room, with the soft palette and every thoughtful detail. How blessed you are to still have this special lady in your life!
